In this episode of Fundraising Events, Bryan Jenkins is joined by Oscar Ortiz of SebastianStrong, a nonprofit raising awareness about childhood cancers and funding research for less toxic, more targeted childhood cancer treatments and cures. The foundation was founded in 2017 to honor the life of Oscar’s son, Sebastian, and his courageous 14-month battle with rhabdomyosarcoma.

“We started the foundation with the desire to make change and honor [Sebastian] in some way, but not really knowing what we would be able to do. And here we are four and a half years into it, and we’ve raised close to $3 million for pediatric cancer research.”
