As we head into the final stretch of the year, peer-to-peer fundraisers are embracing the cooler weather with creativity, community spirit, and a little bit of courage! This month’s Peer-to-Peer Roundup highlights two standout events that are engaging supporters in meaningful — and memorable — ways. From taking the plunge to taking on personal challenges, these campaigns show how peer-to-peer fundraising continues to inspire connection and drive impact.
Special Olympics Polar Plunge & Run
The Polar Plunge and Run supports the Special Olympics New Hanover County, which provides year-around sports training in 27 sports, 5 dances, movie nights, holiday events, summer programs, local, regional, and statewide competitions, and so much more!
How They’re Using GiveSignup:
- Used custom menu bar to display custom pages to highlight their event day schedule and fundraising rewards.
- Set up teams creating friendly competition between participants.
- Included a photo album and results from last year’s event, drawing participants back to the website and creating anticipation for next year.

NJYC Practice Challenge
The New Jersey Youth Chorus 2025 Practice Challenge is a month-long event that celebrates dedication, growth, and giving back. From November 10 to December 12, singers across all NJYC ensembles will set personal practice goals, track their minutes, and raise funds to benefit both NJYC programs and our community partner, LINC: Linking Initiative for Neighborhood Change, a local organization addressing food insecurity right here in New Providence. Coming off the success of their Play-a-Thon practice challenge for the New Jersey Youth Symphony, Wharton Arts has launched a fundraising challenge for their choirs as well.
How They’re Using GiveSignup:
- Turned on Website V2 and included a donation thermometer, fundraising leaderboards, and countdown clock front and center.
- Set up teams and renamed to ensembles.
- Used the results function to track the minutes they’ve practiced.
- Included the YouTube video component to showoff participants performing.
